- His father is fond of cricket. As a child, his father took him to Baroda to watch the match, after which he became interested in cricket.
- When he was five years old, his family moved from Choryasi, Surat to Gorwa, Baroda and joined his brother Krunal Pandya at Kiran More International Academy in Boroda, which was then seven years old.
- His family lived on rent in Gorwa due to financial difficulties. He had a used car to travel to the cricket ground.
- Hardik Pandya faced many difficulties in his youth. His father suffered three heart attacks which led to his father leaving his job.
