It has finally become clear that there will be no Garba in Gujarat this year.  Earlier, all the major Garba organizers in the state had refused to play Garba. Divya Bhaskar released the news on September 12. Only then did the debate begin as to what the government decides. However, the government has not yet clarified the issue of street riots. Even with social distance and a fixed number, the government can allow riots on the streets.

Vijay Rupani said that Navratri is from October 17 to 25 this year.

Due to the global Koro epidemic, our government has decided not to hold a state level Vibrant Navratri Festival at the GMDC Ground in Ahmedabad this year.

The government signaled to the people not to allow Navratri
The government canceled the Vibrant Navratri festival in such a way that ‘snakes do not die and sticks do not break’, signaling to the people that Navratri held in public or private party plots would not be allowed.

The SOP, issued by the central government in September this year, clearly states that the ban on celebrations of festivals. Navratri is a festival so the state government does not need to make any separate announcement for it, top government sources said.

 Moreover, the government is aware of the fact that the rioters can not only follow the social distance, so there are two opinions in granting permission even in the street rioters.
Nitin Patel said the government was thinking about Navratri
Uncertainty has prevailed over the Navratri festival, which has become known as the world’s longest dance festival due to the Koro epidemic. The state government has not yet decided on the planning of Navratri in Gujarat starting October 17. However the government is trying to make a decision by thinking at the right time.
Speaking to reporters at a program in Rupal, Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said, “Khelaiya is waiting for Navratri.” The government will consider this even when people are eager to play Navratri even among the corona.
Gujarat’s Garba has a prominent identity in the world but it is necessary to stop the transmission of corona in the state at a time when there is a big threat due to corona, so the government will take a decision after considering all aspects.
The government is considering giving concessions in Navratri as per the guideline of Covid 19.
